David Hasselhoff, known by his many fans simply as “The Hoff”, visited Ireland this week in an unscheduled whistle stop tour.

Hasselhoff attends talks on cross border co-operation.


Hasselhoff, who holds a first in Oriental Languages from Oxford, meets An Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, TD, at an Irish-Japanese trade conference.


Hasselhoff visits the Guinness Storehouse where he models an Irish real-leather jacket that he will wear as part of a deal with the drinks brand.


Hasselhoff attends the Ryanair Plc AGM, where a motion to rename the company to Hoffair is carried unanimously.

Baywatch star Hasselhoff to divorce

13jan06FORMER Baywatch star David Hasselhoff was divorcing wife Pamela Bach after 16 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences, his publicist said.

Hasselhoff, 53, filed for divorce in Los Angeles yesterday, and the couple had agreed to an amicable settlement, publicist Judy Katz said.

The actor, also known for starring in the TV drama Knight Rider has two daughters with Bach, according to his website, www.davidhasselhoff.com.
